![]() Lars Albrecht: Lead guitar Lars Albrecht hails from Norway, although now he hangs his hat in Austin, Texas. Fired from a heavy metal band for throwing in too many country licks, Albrecht has devoted himself to playing his hot telecaster, studying favorites such as James Burton, Roy Nichols and Albert Lee. In demand as a bandleader and lead guitarist, he has backed the likes of Sleepy La Beef and Kinky Freidman, not to mention Kevin Welch, Steve Forbert and Earle Poole Ball. After moving to Texas, Albrecht quickly snagged the lead guitar spot in Chris Wall's band, Cowboy Nation, and he tours as a duo with Chris frequently. He plays regularly with Brigitte London, Dee Lannon and Chuck Barnes, and has played with James Hand and DB Harris. Over the last year he has played the Continental Club, the Broken Spoke, the White Elephant, Luckenbach, Ginny's Little Longhorn - this Norwegian is right at home in the Texas honky tonks! |

![]() Timmy Campbell: Drums a top-notch player, songwriter, singer, and all-around character in the Austin scene, "The Pride Of Flower Mound, TX-Top-Cat-TC-Pop-Pop" Timmy Campbell wrote "From The Time I Get Up" on my That Kind Of Lonely CD, and co-wrote (and created) "Two Things" on The Lowdown. I also have the privelege of playing with Timmy in The Lowells, our three-part harmony outfit (w/ Bill Bailey, Mike Heil, Gary Newcomb, and Shaan Shirazi) -- he's a fantastic drummer, and a blast to play with. |

![]() Vance Hazen: Bass One of the hardest workin' pickers in Austin, Vance splits most of his time in the "twang mines" between my band (for the past 5 years ) and the Crystal Pistols, Karen Poston's band, of which he is an original member. Coming to Austin from Ohio in the early-mid-'90's, about the same time as most of us in the Austin twang gang, he switches sounds with ease from the big ol' upright to his distinctive gold-sparkle Fender Tele-Bass. Vance is a mighty solid and versatile player -- and he juggles fire! |
